Deadbolt and door knob installation across the Westbank. Installing or upgrading door hardware is essential for its function and security. Common door hardware includes locks, pulls, hinges, doorknobs, and kick plates. Installation procedures are generally consistent, but the features of your door and hardware can affect the cost. We install and upgrade hardware the way it’s actually supposed to be installed, so it does its job when someone tries to defeat it.
What we install
- Single-cylinder deadbolts — key outside, thumb-turn inside. The most common, fastest, and code-compliant option.
- Double-cylinder deadbolts — key on both sides, for doors with glass next to them.
- High-security deadbolts — Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, Schlage Primus, restricted keyways.
- Smart deadbolts — keypad, Wi-Fi, Apple Home, Google Home, Z-Wave, Zigbee.
- Door knobs and levers — matching the rest of the hardware in your home.
- Door pulls and handlesets — for front doors, garage doors, gates.
- Kick plates — protect the bottom of the door from scuffs and damage.
- Hinges and pivots.
What makes our install different
The single biggest reason a kicked-in door fails isn’t the deadbolt — it’s a strike plate held in by half-inch screws into trim wood. We swap those for 3-inch screws into the stud, reinforce the strike with a longer plate, and check the hinge side too. It takes 10 extra minutes and triples the door’s resistance.
Pairing your hardware
If you’re upgrading the front door, we’ll also key the back door, garage, side gate, and shed to the same key so you’re not carrying a key ring like a janitor. Or, we can do a master key — one key opens everything, separate keys open only their assigned doors.
